Recipe explanation:
How to prepare an unforgettable birthday for a debutant. Not just any debutant, but also, the person you love the most.
Ingredients:
2 of the birthday girl’s best-friends are needed;
4 of your best-friends to help you during this endeavor.
Planning:
1 1-month English course in England;
1 month travelling through Europe with backpack, trunk and supermarket bags;
1 pair of very powerful headphones;
3 new museums to visit;
2 bars with mom “by the side”.
Things outside planning:
1 sad terrorist attack;
1 paid promise;
2 full moons;
1 nighttime pool visit;
1 lunch at the home of people unknown.
Positive balance:
- * Introduce your French best-friend to her;
- * Dance inside a cave in Paris, on top of a table;
- * Drive around five Italian cities; miss the midnight train and have to drive all the way back;
- * Get water from the holy city of witches and wizards;
- * Take her to the Berlin Wall to talk about “Christiane F.” and give her a “class” about politics;
- * Arrange with the pilot and flight attendants for them to sing “Happy Birthday To You” up in the air;
- * Visit the dream school for next year;
- * Show castles and dream queens;
- * Go up in a balloon;
- * Allow her to get a piercing.
Lose count of the restaurants visited and the fights had, but never, never ever, add the expenses in your own currency. That is a law. As a great designer friend says: “She who makes the exchange, doesn´t have fun”. Let “things” go with life, but don’t let the people you love go. And, for those, don’t let life go by in grey. I prefer life as Piaf’s song: La Vie en Rose!, please.
