The 13th edition of Prêmio APTR de Teatro (APTR Prize for Theater) has honored the actress Marieta Severo, who was surprised by Elba Ramalho going onstage, singing “O meu amor”, written by Chico Buarque, with whom the actress was married for more than three decades. The director Aderbal Freire-Filho, her current partner, and Andréa Beltrão, her friend and business partner, also celebrated her. With her daughters, Silvia and Helena, and grandchildren, Chico Brown and Clara, in the front row, Marieta made the public laugh with family anecdotes. “When Chiquinho, my first grandson, was about 8 years old, he said to me: ‘Hey old lady, why don’t you retire?’ Here’s the thing Chiquinho, grandma will not retire. She wants to grow very old telling stories onstage and on the screen”, Marieta told. Hurray to this great actress!
